چکیده
Abstract The current study included the investigation of E. coli bacteria in random samples ground meat, detection virulence genes isolates, and isolates resistance to some widely used antibiotics. Twenty-four minced meat were collected isolate identify by phenotypic, microscopic characteristics traditional biochemical tests done. Antibiotic susceptibility tests, genomes extracted, factors Stx1, Stx2, eae A hly investigated multiplex PCR technique. 7 showed Colonies with a metallic green luster on EMB medium, gram negative, rod shaped bacteria, facultative anaerobic positive for indole, methyl red catalase negative Fox Proscore, urease oxidase tests. All containing gene, 6 gene Stx1 , 5 4 Stx2 gene. results shown high all types antibiotics used, as possessed multiple antibiotic resistance.

Background: Foodborne outbreaks associated with shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) have been well documented worldwide. STECs are major causative agents of gastroenteritis in humans that may be complicated by hemorrhagic colitis (HC), hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), and thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura (TTP). OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of vi...

Background & Objectives: Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) O157:H7 have emerged as pathogens that can cause food-borne infections and severe and potentially fatal illnesses in humans. E.coli O157:H7 colonizes the digestive tract of cattle and is transmitted to humans by food and water. The objectives of this study were to characterize the prevalence of E.coli O157:H7 isolates in ham...

متن کاملDetection of stx1 and stx2 Genes in Pennsylvanian White-Tailed Deer
Shiga toxin-producing E. coli carrying the stx(1) and/or stx(2) genes can cause multi-symptomatic illness in humans. A variety of terrestrial and aquatic environmental reservoirs of stx have been described. Culture based detection of microbes in deer species have found a low percentage of samples that have tested positive for Stx-producing microbes, suggesting that while deer may contain these ...
